A mix of vineyards
tailored to our terroir
The wine-making activity of the estate dates back to the 17th century and today extends over about 45 hectares, in the heart of the Beaujolais appellation and in the south of the Burgundy wine region. The vineyard has been largely restructured, the new vines extend over more than 20 hectares, associated with vines of more than 50 years of age.
This mix of vineyards allows to obtain a better balance by promoting the expression of our terroirs with predominantly granitic soils for the crus (pink granite), clay-limestone for our Beaujolais, Beaujolais-Villages and our Bourgognes.
The estate raises its wines with great care and attention, following a method that combines tradition and modernity in order to obtain the best of its grape varieties. This is how we can offer you wines regularly rewarded for their quality.
Tradition is served by modernity
The demand for optimum quality
The Domaine du Mont Verrier is dedicated to achieving the perfect balance between structure and refinement of aromas in the development of its wines.
We start our work in the vineyard by controlling our yields and selecting the best plots for plot vinification.
the work continues in vatting with selective sorting of our grapes and careful monitoring of the fermentation thanks to the use of thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks allowing perfect temperature control.
Our wines undergo aging in vats or oak containers, such as foudres, demi-muids, or Burgundy barrels, for several months.
